We have a total of 6 attorneys right now (1 in estate planning, 4 in civil litigation, 1 who handles our corporate clients and real estate closings).
Firm and Role
The firm is located on the North Shore, about 20 miles north of Boston. It is a small, full-service firm with three attorneys and a few paralegals.
The new associate would mainly support the estate planning side of the practice, including client consultations, drafting estate planning documents, trust and estate administration, and estate and fiduciary tax returns. There may also be some overlap with probate and civil litigation matters.
Ideal Background
You are looking for someone with a strong tax background, particularly experience with fiduciary, estate, and gift tax returns.
A CPA or LL.M. in Taxation would be a plus. Five or more years of experience is ideal, but you are open to someone earlier in their career if they have the right background.
The role also offers a potential partner track for someone who wants to join a smaller firm and grow with the practice.
Compensation
The package also includes medical, dental, FSA, life and AD&D insurance, three weeks of PTO, and the potential for a substantial year-end bonus beginning in 2027.
