Location: This is a hybrid role based in St. Louis, MO, offering a strong balance of in-office teamwork and work-from-home flexibility. Candidates must be licensed in Missouri. Relocation candidates are welcome, but relocation assistance is not provided.
Note: Qualified candidates must be licensed to practice law in Missouri and have at least 2+ years of insurance defense experience. Illinois licensure is a plus.

Job Description
- Handle a variety of civil defense and insurance defense litigation matters.
- Work on cases involving transportation liability, premises liability, product liability, general liability, and related defense matters.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other litigation documents.
- Take and defend depositions as appropriate based on experience level.
- Attend court hearings, conferences, mediations, and other case-related proceedings.
- Conduct legal research and develop clear, well-supported legal analysis.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, experts, and internal team members.
- Manage deadlines, case strategy, and file workup with strong attention to detail.
- Collaborate with experienced trial attorneys and gain meaningful litigation and courtroom exposure.
Qualifications
- Missouri Bar license required.
- 2+ years of insurance defense experience required.
- Civil litigation experience required.
- Experience with transportation liability, premises liability, product liability, or general liability preferred.
- Illinois Bar license is a plus.
- Strong legal writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.
- Highly organized, motivated, and comfortable managing litigation deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
