Note:
Applicants must be licensed to practice law in South Carolina and have at least 4 years of residential real estate law experience. Candidates should be comfortable independently managing closings, title matters, and client relationships.

Job Description
- Conduct residential real estate closings in compliance with South Carolina law and firm policies.
- Review settlement statements, closing packages, and transaction documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Explain legal documents and closing procedures to buyers, sellers, lenders, and real estate professionals.
- Examine title reports, title commitments, deeds, surveys, and public records.
- Resolve title defects through curative work and prepare title opinions.
- Draft and review deeds, affidavits, easements, powers of attorney, corrective instruments, and related legal documents.
- Advise buyers, sellers, lenders, builders, investors, and referral partners on residential real estate matters.
- Build and maintain relationships with Realtors®, lenders, builders, and other referral sources.
- Participate in networking, marketing, and business development activities.
- Supervise the office receptionist and help support daily office operations.
- Deliver exceptional client service while maintaining a high-volume practice.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active South Carolina Bar license in good standing.
- 4+ years of residential real estate law experience.
- Experience conducting residential real estate closings independently.
- Strong title examination and title curative experience preferred.
- Current South Carolina Notary Public commission.
- Excellent communication, organization, and client relationship skills.
- Established relationships within the South Carolina real estate community preferred.
- North Carolina Bar license is a plus.
