This position is ideal for an attorney with 3–5+ years of Florida litigation experience, including commercial litigation and third-party defense work. The ideal candidate will have strong case management skills, excellent legal writing ability, and the confidence to handle matters from early investigation through discovery, motion practice, negotiations, hearings, trial preparation, and client reporting. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of civil defense matters in a professional, team-oriented law firm environment.ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload involving commercial litigation, third-party defense, and general civil litigation defense mattersDraft pleadings, motions, discovery, memoranda, correspondence, and case reportsConduct legal research and prepare clear, persuasive written analysisHandle discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearancesEvaluate claims, liability, damages, and litigation strategyCommunicate regularly with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnelAssist with trial preparation and support cases through resolutionMaintain organized files, deadlines, and case strategy plansProvide timely updates and reporting to clientsQualificationsJuris Doctor degree from an accredited law schoolActive Florida Bar license in good standing3–5+ years of litigation experience in FloridaExperience with commercial litigationExperience with third-party defense workInsurance defense or civil litigation defense background preferredExcellent legal research, writing, and analytical skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlinesProfessional communication skills with clients, courts, and opposing counselAbility to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team environmentPrior experience handling depositions, hearings, mediations, and motion practiceExperience with insurance defense, general liability, premises liability, construction, transportation, or related civil defense matters#J-18808-Ljbffr
