Senior Litigation Associate – Trusts & Estates / Civil Litigation

A highly regarded Orange County law firm is seeking a Senior Litigation Associate to join its sophisticated litigation practice.

The practice includes trust and estate litigation, probate litigation, business litigation, civil litigation, and select civil defense matters. Trust and estate litigation experience is preferred, but accomplished civil litigators interested in developing experience in this area will also be considered.

The Opportunity

The attorney will independently manage sophisticated litigation matters from inception through resolution, including depositions, substantive motion practice, written discovery, mediations, settlement negotiations, trial preparation, legal research and writing, litigation strategy, and client communication.

The position carries a a reasonable annual billable requirement, with schedule flexibility when needed. The workplace emphasizes collaboration, family-friendly scheduling, and work-life balance.

Compensation

Base salary is depending on experience. Additional compensation includes an  origination bonus on collected fees for originated matters, an hours-based bonus program for attorneys exceeding annual expectations, and a discretionary year-end bonus.

Qualifications

Candidates must have 5+ years of litigation experience, significant deposition and motion practice experience, discovery management experience, mediation and trial preparation experience, and the ability to independently manage complex litigation matters.

Excellent legal research, writing, advocacy, judgment, and client communication skills are required, along with an active California Bar license in good standing.
