Electronic Assembler
Austin TX
Contract to Hire - 2nd Shift, 4/40
Hours: 4:30 - 3am, Mon-Thurs 
Pay Range:   $22.96 - $30.96*
*based on type experience

Required Qualifications:Electronic Assembler
  • High School Diploma, Trade School diploma, or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Ability to focus on tasks with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working with a microscope.
  • Experience assembling small devices.
  • Experience with wiring, soldering, harnesses, and cabling.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, specifications, and assembly instructions.
  • Knowledge of electronic systems and electronics fundamentals.
  • Understanding of active and passive electronic components, including resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes, transistors, relays, and transformers.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to perform mechanical assembly operations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain ESD, Material Handling, and Solder Certifications.
  • Ability to use various crimping tools.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Position Summary:  Electronic Assembler
  • Assemble electronic components, assemblies, subassemblies, modules, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Support production and prototype projects involving electronic, electrical, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Work from engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, wiring lists, process sheets, and assembly instructions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, drafting, quality assurance, and production teams to produce quality products.
  • Inspect and verify assemblies to ensure compliance with applicable specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities:  Electronic Assembler
  • Assemble electronic components, assemblies, subassemblies, and modules using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Perform wire termination, wire harness installation, cable assembly, and value torquing operations.
  • Read and follow engineering drawings and system schematics.
  • Assemble, disassemble, and modify production subassemblies according to work plans.
  • Inspect assemblies for compliance with J-STD and IPC-610 standards.
  • Complete assembly operations on modules, circuit boards, connector panels, and related assemblies.
  • Inspect, adjust, and certify moderately complex assemblies, subassemblies, parts, and systems.
  • Use hand tools and precision testing equipment to verify compliance with specifications and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, drafting, and quality assurance to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Work closely with Quality Control and Engineering to address technical and quality concerns.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:  Electronic Assembler
  • Experience in electronic mechanical assembly.
  • Experience performing advanced soldering and electrical/electronic assembly operations.
  • One to three years of experience as an electronic assembler.
  • Ability to support detailed assembly work to specification requirements.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform occasional bending, reaching, and stooping.
  • Ability to exert occasional physical energy.
