Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Audio-Visual Field Installation Technician to join one of our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audio-visual systems, a
solid understanding of network infrastructure, familiarity with basic construction techniques,
poses reliable transportation, and the ability to bring their own basic hand tools to the job. This
role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work independently and as part of a team to
install, configure, and troubleshoot AV systems in various environments. You will travel to jobsites throughout New Jersey. 

Key Responsibilities:
-Install, configure, and maintain audio-visual equipment including projectors, displays,
speakers, microphones, video conferencing systems, and control systems.
-Perform on-site installations, including running and terminating cables, mounting
hardware, and setting up AV systems according to project specifications.
-Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements and provide input on project
planning and equipment needs.
-Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AV systems, both on-site and
remotely.
-Work closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure installations meet their
expectations.
-Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely
and successful project completion.
-Provide training and support to clients on the use and maintenance of installed AV
systems.
-Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, drawing redlines and service
activities.
-Adhere to safety standards and best practices in all installation activities.

Qualifications:
-Proven experience as an Audio-Visual Field Installation Technician or similar role.
-Strong knowledge of audio-visual systems, including but not limited to projectors,
displays, speakers, microphones, and video conferencing equipment.
-Mechanical knowledge of A/V system installation
-Solid understanding of network infrastructure and ability to integrate AV systems with
networks.
-Proficiency in running and terminating various types of cables (e.G., HDMI, CAT5/6,
speaker, coax, and audio/XLR cables).
-Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and project plans.
-Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Strong organizational skills.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
-Must bring and maintain (basic) personal hand tools for the job.
-Must be willing to achieve and maintain industry standard training certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience with control systems (e.G., Crestron, QSC, Extron) is highly desirable.
-Certifications from Q-SYS, Extron, Crestron, or similar are a plus but not required.
-Working knowledge of IP networking and AV over IP technologies.
-Familiarity with remote monitoring and management tools for AV systems.
-Familiarity with construction site etiquette is highly desirable.
