About the Opportunity
TradeSTAR is partnering with an established commercial technology contractor that specializes in construction-based AV integration projects across North Texas. Their work includes educational facilities, corporate campuses, healthcare environments, government buildings, and other commercial construction projects.
This is a long-term opportunity offering steady work, competitive compensation, and room for advancement into Foreman, Superintendent, Project Management, and other leadership roles.
This position focuses exclusively on commercial AV construction and installation work. It is not a live event, entertainment, or production audiovisual role.
What You'll Do
Lead and supervise commercial AV installation crews on active construction sites
Coordinate daily activities to keep projects on schedule and maintain quality standards
Install and oversee installation of displays, projectors, speakers, control systems, equipment racks, and structured cabling systems
Read and interpret blueprints, one-line diagrams, elevations, and project documentation
Work alongside General Contractors, Superintendents, Foremen, and other construction trades
Troubleshoot field issues and implement solutions to maintain project timelines
Enforce job site safety requirements and installation best practices
Mentor and support Helpers, Level I, Level II, and Level III Technicians as they develop their skills
What We're Looking For
Experience as an AV Lead Technician, Senior Installer, Foreman, or similar leadership role in commercial construction
Strong knowledge of commercial audiovisual systems and installation methods
Ability to read construction drawings, schematics, and technical plans
Experience managing crews and coordinating work with multiple trades on construction projects
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality craftsmanship
