Camp Season - Summer 2026
Job Summary
Prepare, plan, and operate audio/visual equipment for meetings, events, classes, and seminars at the Salvation Army camps. Ensure that camp activities are recorded for use in Salvation Army publications. Captures video/pictures for Salvation Army publications.
Essential Functions
• Sets up, adjusts, and operates audiovisual equipment for various camp programs, including worship services and concerts. • Operates and installs audio/visual equipment. • Videotapes camp activities daily. • Produces a weekly review video for each camp session, including all music camps. Produce a staff video and camp promotional video. • Instructs camp employees in the selection, use, and design of audiovisual materials, and assists them in preparing instructional materials and rehearsing presentations. • Plans and prepares audio/visual teaching aids and methods to be used in camp classes. • Keeps personal living quarters neat, clean, and ready for inspection. • Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to meet attendance requirements. • Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. • Some physical requirements of the Camp Audio/Visual Specialist position could be endurance including climbing, standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching. • Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate audio/visual equipment and activities are required. • Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/programs and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions
• Have a willingness to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours delivering a program in the facility available. • Operate with daily exposure to the sun and heat and varying environmental conditions.
Education and Experience
• Two years' experience in video production preferred. • Or • Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certifications
• CPR & First Aid Certification
