About the Opportunity

TradeSTAR is recruiting on behalf of an established commercial technology contractor with decades of experience delivering integrated low-voltage and audio-visual solutions throughout Texas and across the country. Their expertise includes commercial AV systems, structured cabling, fiber optic infrastructure, and technology integration for new construction and renovation projects.

What You'll Do

As a Level II AV Technician, you'll work alongside experienced Lead Technicians and Project Managers to install and support commercial audio-visual systems in a variety of professional environments.

Responsibilities include:

• Install commercial audio-visual equipment including displays, projectors, speakers, control systems, cameras, and equipment racks

• Pull, route, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling

• Assist with AV rack fabrication, system integration, and equipment commissioning

• Troubleshoot AV systems and resolve installation issues

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation drawings

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites

• Collaborate with Lead Technicians, Superintendents, and Project Managers to complete projects on time and with exceptional quality

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of commercial AV, structured cabling, or low-voltage installation experience

• Experience installing, terminating, and testing commercial AV systems

• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation

• Comfortable working on ladders and personnel lifts

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license

• Professional attitude with a desire to continue learning and advancing into Lead Technician and leadership roles
