Audio-Visual Technician

Our client is a respected Texas-based electrical and low voltage contractor with more than 40 years of experience delivering large-scale commercial projects across the state. Their technology division specializes in structured cabling, security systems, and commercial audio-visual solutions for corporate offices, conference centers, educational facilities, healthcare campuses, and other commercial environments.

Audio-Visual Technician Job Description
Install commercial audio-visual equipment including televisions, digital displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, cameras, and integrated control systems for a wide range of commercial environments.
Pull, route, label, and neatly dress low-voltage cabling to support audio-visual systems while ensuring a clean, organized, and professional installation.
Install cable support infrastructure including J-hooks, cable trays, conduit, and other pathway systems to provide proper cable routing and long-term system reliability.
Mount televisions, monitors, projectors, speakers, and associated hardware securely while ensuring proper alignment, functionality, and compliance with project specifications.
Assist with the assembly, layout, and organization of equipment racks while implementing effective cable management for a clean and serviceable installation.
Read and interpret blueprints, reflected ceiling plans, AV drawings, and device layouts to accurately install equipment and cabling according to design requirements.
Terminate low-voltage cabling and connect audio-visual equipment while verifying proper signal integrity and system functionality.

Basic Requirements:
1+ years of commercial AV, low voltage, structured cabling, or related installation experience
Experience pulling, routing, labeling, and dressing low-voltage cabling.
Basic understanding of commercial audio-visual systems, equipment, and installation practices.
Experience mounting displays, speakers, projectors, and other AV devices.
Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
