Job Description
Audiologist – Veteran Disability Assessments

We are looking for a committed Audiologist to become a part of our team, focusing on conducting medical evaluations for U.S. Veterans as a component of the VA's disability benefits assessment process. In this position, you will examine the Veteran's medical history, which is securely uploaded to a digital portal, prior to administering a Maryland CNC Test and Puretone Audiometric test. Following these assessments, you will fill out a Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ) within the portal, creating the necessary medical documentation for the VA to assess the Veteran’s eligibility for benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform in-person disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans.
  • Examine and interpret electronic medical records through a secure online portal.
  • Thoroughly document examination results and complete the required VA forms.

Note: This position does not include prescribing any medical treatments or devices. The determination of disability is made by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), not by the provider.

Position Details:
  • Schedule: Part-Time, 3 days a week (Tuesday to Thursday, 8 or 10-hour shifts)
  • Location: In-person role.
  • Caseload: Average of 3-6 Veterans per day.
  • Equipment Provided: Computer and all necessary documentation tools.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A compassionate Audiologist who is passionate about assisting the Veteran community.
  • Strong analytical abilities to evaluate medical records and assessment data.
  • Exceptional time management skills and the capability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in electronic documentation and web-based systems.
  • A professional and empathetic approach when engaging with Veterans.
Requirements:
  • Possesses an Au.D. and has graduated from an ASHA Accredited School.
  • Holds a valid license as an Audiologist.
  • Comfortable utilizing technology for record review and documentation.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Health insurance and 401K benefits available.
  • Malpractice Insurance covered by the organization.
  • ASHA Learning Pass membership (CEU).
  • Training and ongoing support provided.
  • Predictable schedule with no on-call responsibilities.
Is This Role Right for You?
  • Do you find fulfillment in serving and supporting Veterans?
  • Are you seeking a structured role without on-call shifts?
  • Would you appreciate conducting focused medical assessments without treatment obligations?

If your answers are yes, we encourage you to apply today and join a meaningful mission to support those who have served our country!

By submitting your application, you agree to the transmission of your information to the Employer through the Employer’s data processor.
