Join our Audiology team at our downtown Ithaca site!
We are looking for a billing specialist, and office assistant to aid in our compassionate and comprehensive hearing services. This is a small office enviornment, staffed with knowledgable and caring staff. This position is 32 hours a week (general office hours 7-3 with flexibility and a possibility for hybrid remote work on Fridays). The starting rate for this position is $19 - $21/hour.
Responsibilities:
- Complete billing functions for Audiology Clinic
- Assist Audiology Coordinator in daily tasks and serve as a backup when needed
- Client services to support overall customer service
- Ensure the Audiology Clinic is welcoming and a safe environment for all patients and staff
- General Office tasks to ensure smooth running clinic
- Communicate with, and facilitate, service delivery for Audiologist
- Interact with patients, families, and the community in a respectful, cooperative way and promote clear communication to promote belonging and positive problem solving
- Support marketing initiatives and campaigns
Qualifications:
- Education/Certification: High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience: Medical billing, general office and computer skills, billing software, insurance coding skills preferred, audiology knowledge preferred
- Qualities: Ability to operate standard office equipment.
