We are seeking an Audit Associate who will be instrumental in identifying key risks within Siemens' operational and financial environments. This role involves designing and executing comprehensive audits for Siemens' global business with a focus on Digital Industries Software, driving innovation, and further developing processes and methodologies.

Ideal candidates will bring a background in Finance functions from a Software or Internet company or a Big 4 accounting firm servicing software / tech clients. The candidate should bring a deep understanding of the special business models (e.g., SaaS, subscription) and financial processes (e.g., revenue recognition) in the software industry. Experience in risk management and auditing is a plus.

We are looking for an Audit Associate, and this is a hybrid position located in either Iselin, New Jersey, or Plano, Texas. Please note that this is NOT an IT audit position but financial / operational audit position with a focus on software business.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Identify key risks in Siemens's operational and financial environment and develop a deep understanding of business processes, goals, and strategies to provide insightful analysis and interpretation to management.
  • Design and execute comprehensive audits, particularly for global software and technology businesses, addressing identified risks and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Independently drive assurance objectives, define and align conclusions, and recommend improvements to influence organizational change.
  • Foster innovation by developing and promoting digital use cases in collaboration with our data analytics team to increase coverage and overall assurance.
  • Participate in meetings with Senior Management, driving discussions on audit observations, conclusions, and next steps.
  • Stay current on regulatory requirements and industry trends

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 to 7 years of relevant experience with a proven track record in a software/technology company or servicing software clients in a Big 4 accounting firm.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience with various software business models (e.g., Subscription, SaaS)
  • 5 to 7 years of experience with FP&A, Controlling, and Sales Finance within a software environment.
  • BS/BA degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Fluent in English (speaking, writing, comprehension).
  • Hybrid work environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An MBA, CPA, CIA, ACCA, ACA or PMP qualification is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI is a plus.
  • Fluency in other languages along with English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present recommendations to senior management.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, often managing multiple projects simultaneously.
