Audit & Assurance Accountant - PA - On Site

Position Summary

We are assurance services and looking for an Accountant with a strong background in financial auditing and attestation. Unlike traditional accounting roles, this position focuses primarily on financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations, rather than tax preparation. The ideal candidate is analytical, possesses a sharp eye for financial data, and is excited to help build and maintain our assurance pipeline right here from our Philadelphia office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Execute financial statement audits, reviews, and attestation services for a variety of small-to-medium-sized businesses.

• Evaluate client internal control systems, identify risk areas, and ensure all financial statements align with GAAP requirements.

• Perform detailed substantive testing, analytical reviews, and verification of financial documentation.

• Draft clear, comprehensive financial statements, disclosures, and audit reports for management and business owners.

• Collaborate directly with clients to request documentation, clarify anomalies, and guide them smoothly through the audit process.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (Eligible or working toward CPA is a plus, but not required).

• Experience: 2+ years of experience working specifically in external audit, assurance, or attestation services (Public accounting background is highly preferred).

• Core Focus: Strong preference for financial statement evaluation over tax prep (this is not a tax preparation role).

• Location: Must be local to Philadelphia and able to work daily out of our physical office.

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and superb analytical skills
