Audit Manager Overview
We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead financial statement audit engagements and support client relationships in a dynamic, collaborative environment. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse clients, leverage modern audit technology, and play a key role in mentoring and developing audit teams.
Audit Manager Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple financial statement audit engagements simultaneously
- Ensure audits are completed on time and within budget
- Review and apply US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards
- Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor
- Identify risks and provide insights into business operations and controls
- Supervise, mentor, and train junior staff; provide ongoing feedback
- Collaborate with internal teams on business development and proposals
- Utilize audit tools and technology to improve efficiency and quality
- Participate in recruiting and professional networking events
Audit Manager Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Active CPA license (required)
- Minimum 5+ years of public accounting experience
- At least 1+ year of experience at the Manager level
- Strong knowledge of:
- US GAAP
- GAAS
- PCAOB standards
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
Audit Manager Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PCAOB audits
- Background with mid-to-large public accounting firms
- Exposure to audit automation or digital tools
Audit Manager Work Environment
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite per week in Milwaukee, WI
- Up to 25% travel as needed
- Collaborative, team-oriented culture with strong leadership support
Audit Manager Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $110K – $140K
