Audit Manager

Title: Audit Manager
CPA firm in Lincolnshire, IL/Chicago, IL is seeking an Audit Manager to join its growing Audit & Assurance practice. This leadership role offers direct access to firm partners, meaningful client relationships, staff development opportunities, and a clear path toward senior leadership within the firm.
Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• Active CPA License required
• 5+ years of public accounting experience
• 5+ years of financial statement audit experience
• 2+ years of supervisory or management experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and auditing standards
• Experience managing audit engagements from planning through completion
• Strong client relationship management skills
• Experience mentoring and developing staff
• Private Equity experience preferred
• Master's Degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit and assurance engagements
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients
• Review of audit workpapers and financial statements
• Manage engagement budgets, staffing, and timelines
• Mentor, coach, and develop staff and senior associates
• Identify opportunities to provide additional value to clients
• Ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards
• Work closely with Partners on client service and practice growth initiatives

Compensation

• $115,000 - $150,000 Base Salary
• Bonus Eligibility

Busy Season Hours

• Approximately 55-65 hours per week during busy season
• Hybrid flexibility available
