Audit Senior/Supervisor - Western Massachusetts
Location: Hampden County, MA (hybrid)
I'm partnering with a well-established, full-service public accounting firm in Western Massachusetts that is experiencing steady growth due to recent retirements and continued client expansion. This is a strong opportunity to join a stable, people-focused organization known for technical excellence, long-term client relationships, and a highly collaborative culture.
What You'll Do
- Assist in audit planning, fieldwork, and completion of engagements
- Prepare audit workpapers and financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Review work performed by staff and provide constructive feedback
- Train and mentor team members while addressing technical questions
- Ensure compliance with firm quality control standards
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Support select advisory and transaction-related projects as needed
Ideal Candidate- 5+ years of public accounting audit experience
- Active CPA required
- Experience with audits, reviews, and compilations for both for-profit and nonprofit clients
- Strong exposure to nonprofit organizations preferred
- Single Audit / Uniform Guidance experience strongly preferred (HUD experience a plus)
- Strong ability to research and apply accounting standards
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills
- Software: Thomson Reuters Suite & QuickBooks
