Audit Supervisor- Public Sector

Voorhees, NJ


We're seeking an Audit Supervisor to lead audit engagements for government entities, including municipalities, school districts, and public authorities. This is an opportunity to build your leadership skills, mentor team members, and serve as a trusted advisor while working on meaningful public sector engagements.


Qualities

  • 5-7 years of public accounting audit experience, including governmental audits.
  • CPA license or progress toward licensure preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GASB, GAAS, Yellow Book, and Single Audit requirements.
  • Experience leading audit engagements and reviewing staff work.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in-office at least 3 days per week and travel locally to client sites as needed.


Responsibilites:

  • Lead audit engagements for municipalities, school districts, and other government entities.
  • Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and reports to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and build strong working relationships.
  • Mentor and develop audit staff while managing engagement timelines and budgets.
  • Stay current on governmental accounting standards and help clients navigate evolving requirements.
