JOB TITLE: Auth0 Engineer
JOB TYPE: Contract
LOCATION: 100% Remote
START DATE: ASAP
SHIFT: Monday - Friday, standard business hours
Our client needs an experienced Auth0 engineer to stand up and configure authentication for their systems. This work is being brought in from the outside because the skill set does not exist on their internal team, so you will own the identity piece from design through working flows. You will partner directly with their application developers and stakeholders. The work starts right away, so we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running with little ramp-up.
What You Will Do - Design, build, and configure Auth0 authentication for client applications
- Integrate Auth0 into the existing application architecture
- Configure tenants, connections, Actions, and login flows
- Advise the client team on identity and access management best practices across the Auth0 platform
- Deliver working, tested authentication flows on the project timeline
- Document what you build so the internal team can support it after the engagement ends
What You Need - 5+ years of engineering experience
- Hands-on Auth0 implementation work in live production environments, not just test tenants
- Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML
- Experience connecting applications to third-party identity providers
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience
- Comfortable working solo in a fully remote setup and staying responsive to client stakeholders
- Strong verbal communication, since you will be the identity expert in the room
Nice to Have - Experience migrating legacy Auth0 Rules and Hooks over to Actions
- Okta platform experience alongside Auth0
- Multi-tenant or B2B SaaS identity work
