AS AN AUTHORIZATION ASSISTANT, you will be responsible for obtaining all authorizations of outpatient testing. You will schedule the outpatient testing with the outpatient scheduling department and inform the patient of the appointment and any instructions for testing.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant medical experience required Completion of a medical assistant program with 2 years hands-on experience performing clinical duties Preferred: Prior administrative office procedures experience within a physician office required Preferred: Knowledge and experience in Payor Authorization Requirements Required Required: CPR Certification within the first year of hire required Required: NHA or NCCT Medical Assistant Certification Preferred
