Authorization Specialist

Job Summary: Review and maintain EPIC work queues. Communicate with insurance carriers via web, phone, and fax to obtain benefit and authorization requirements. Processing pre-service authorizations for radiology advanced imaging, injectable medication, DME, and surgical procedures. Communicate with physician offices and facilities to notify of authorization status. Must be able to communicate professionally and efficiently via email, Microsoft Teams, and EPIC chat functionalities. Minimum Qualifications:
High School degree or equivalent and two years clerical support in a medical billing setting. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of medical authorization submission preferred.
Work Days:
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
