Autism Support Specialist
Description
OCCK is looking for an Austism Support Specialist to join the team! This position will offer supports, and assist in the development of skills with a child/young adult with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Responsibilities include:
Providing individualized support to children and young adults (ages 0-21) in home, school, and community settings
Implementing ABA therapy and other skill-building strategies as outlined in treatment plans
Communicating with case manager and following treatment plans
Marketing Autism Services in the community, meeting with community partners
Assisting with behavior support plans and promoting positive coping strategies
Collaborating with families to model strategies and reinforce consistency across settings
Documenting daily services, data collection, and progress notes in Q90 database
Attending team meetings (IEPs, wrap-arounds, school meetings) as needed to support the child's success
Preparing and organizing materials needed for sessions
Maintaining a clean and safe environment for children during and after sessions
Attending required trainings to build knowledge and skills in autism support and behavior intervention
Other direct support duties as assigned by supervisor
Position Requirements
18 years of age or older
A high school diploma or GED is required
Have strong oral and written communication skills
Must have the ability to work with a diverse group of people in a team setting
Must be able to maintain a valid Kansas Driver's License
