Responsibilities:Perform all work safelyCommunicate any safety or quality concernsDrive manual and standard transmission motor vehicles, at all times, in accordance with company and customer instructions/proceduresInspect all customer vehicles for damage before beginning workConfirm all parts, accessory codes and numbers before beginning workInspect parts before installingFollow all written work processesPost installation inspectionSign off on Quality accountability documentation for every install;Accountability for hand tools, torque wrenches and light power tools;Keeping work areas clear of waste and debris Education Requirements:High School Diploma/GED or Ability Skills, Licenses, Certification, and/or Special Training:Must maintain a valid state driver's license if required to operate company equipment;Meet and maintain all requirements contained in the Conditions of Employment policy. Physical, Mental & Sensory Requirements:Ability to constantly work in an indoor/outdoor environment, exposed to all weather elements, including extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust and noisy conditionsConstantly required to use bending, kneeling, twisting and walking motions on uneven surfaces throughout entire work shiftConstantly perform prolonged standing and/or walking at a rapid pace to keep up with demands of plant operations up to 5 miles in an 8 hour shiftPossess physical strength and agility to constantly open and close automobile doors throughout shiftAbility to rarely lift and carry up to 75 lbs.Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs.Ability to push and pull at a force of up to 100 lbs.Must be able to hear and communicate, work or safety instructions spoken in a normal voiceAbility to read Vehicle Identification Numbers and other shipping documentsMust have visual acuity and normal depth perception in both eyes to inspect and drive motor vehicles in limited lighting to include night/dusk and inside plant operationsMust be able to properly wear all required Personal Protective EquipmentMust be able to walk on a moving assembly line belt Company Profile:Established in 1987, Road & Rail Services has grown and diversified to become a leading provider of rail-related services in North America.
