Auto Body Painter / Industrial Painter

Indianapolis, IN | Full-Time | Weekly Pay + Benefits
Starting Pay: $20+/hour Based on Experience

Impact Workforce Solutions is hiring Auto Body Painters / Industrial Painters. This is a full-time manufacturing opportunity offering competitive pay, weekly paychecks, benefits, overtime opportunities, and long-term career growth.

Available Shifts

  • 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • 3rd Shift: Sunday-Thursday, 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM
  • Weekend Shift: Friday-Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
    • Work 36 hours and get paid for 40

Overtime is currently available on all shifts.

What You’ll Do

  • Sand, grind, prep, mask, and tape locomotive and railcar components for painting
  • Apply decals, coatings, primers, and finishes using pressure spray systems
  • Perform touch-ups, bodywork, and paint repairs as needed
  • Power wash and clean railcars and locomotive parts before painting
  • Conduct sandblasting and surface preparation for proper paint adhesion
  • Mix paints and coatings to customer specifications
  • Operate equipment including forklifts, cranes, manlifts, and pneumatic tools
  • Follow work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards
  • Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on paint equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in auto body painting, industrial painting, manufacturing painting, or spray painting preferred
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with PPE requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in physically active conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety

Preferred Experience

  • Auto body repair or painting
  • Industrial or manufacturing paint systems
  • Sandblasting and surface preparation
  • Railcar or locomotive painting
  • Technical training in auto body or paint programs
