Company: Gerber Collision & GlassJob OverviewAn Auto Body Technician is responsible for repairing vehicles to pre‑accident condition, ensuring quality, speed and customer excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.Plan repair work, prepare cost estimates and use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers and pliers to repair vehicle sections.Mold or mix and apply filler resins for dent repair.Realign chassis and frames to fix structural damage.Remove damaged sections and replace with new or aftermarket parts; replace or repair glass and windshields.Replace or repair interior parts.Weld and attach parts, prepare and repaint vehicles with factory‑specified or equivalent paint.Aim to finish work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.Perform other related duties as assigned.Education & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3‑year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.Required Skills and AbilitiesRead job orders and work independently.Collaborate with other repairers in a shop setting.Understand repair methods and procedures for vehicle bodies.Operate required tools safely and effectively.Other RequirementsWork safely in a noisy area with strong odors.Lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.Visually inspect vehicle damage in varying weather conditions.Perform bending, stretching, kneeling and squatting as needed.EEO StatementThe Boyd Group welcomes unique talents from all backgrounds and characteristics.
