Much of our success, of course, rests on the abilities of people like you – intelligent and energetic employees who are passionate about their job and take great pride in what they do.As one of the largest Body Shop in the area, we are looking for EXPERIENCED Auto Body Technician who are ready to work in a fast-paced, high‑traffic Body Shop!If you're ready to improve your life at a Body Shop with stable management, great reputation, and friendly co‑workers then TNH BS is the place!ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIESComplete dis‑assembly of vehicle in order to assist with preparing a 100% Repair PlanEnsure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair timePlan work procedure: follow work order for all operations listedRemove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window and seat operating equipment and trim to gain access to damaged area of vehicle if needed; store parts on carts or cover to eliminate potential damageMend damaged body and fenders by hammering out or filling in dents and welding broken parts; ensure all gaps and fits are to industry standardsOperate a variety of hand and power tools (e.g. welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns, etc.)Fill depressions with body fillerRemove damaged fenders, panels and grills; bolt or weld replacement parts in position and reassemble after parts are painted; ensure all gaps and fills are to industry standardsFile, grind, and sand repaired surfaces with 120‑grit paper before turning vehicle over to the Paint Dept.Aim headlamps and repair or replace defective partsInspect and test drive repaired vehicles to check for compliance with safety and quality standardsAssist Service Advisors in assessing damage to vehicles prior to repairComply with all Caliber safety rules, guidelines and standardsPerform other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective repairQUALIFICATIONSMust be at least 18 years of ageMust have a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage under Garage Liability policy (Not an excluded driver)Satisfactory completion of a criminal background checkMust be able to stand for long periods of time during the repair of a vehicleMust be able to walk, sit, bend, push/pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach or crawl frequentlyMust be able to use hands efficiently in handling vehicle partsOccasionally exposed to hot, cold, wet or humid conditionsMust be able to lift fifty (50) poundsExperience Minimum of five (5) years of experienceEducationHigh School Diploma or higher – preferred.SKILLS & KNOWLEDGEStrong oral and written communicationStrong problem‑solving and decision‑making skillsStrong integrityAttention to detail and accuracyGood time management and organizational skillsAbility to work independently or in a team environmentAbility to meet or exceed Performance CompetenciesTwo days off per weekExceptional pay planCompany PicnicAnnual Holiday EventOne-week vacation48 hours of sick time offEqual Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
