We are currently seeking a Collector for a Community Bank located in Tustin, CA!

Type: Full-time, Temporary-to-hire

Pay: $22.00 to $27.00/hr

Branch Hours: Monday–Friday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of early-stage delinquent auto loan accounts, primarily in the 10-30 day past due range.
• Handle a mix of inbound and outbound calls to connect with borrowers and discuss their accounts.
• Process payments via ACH and debit card and negotiate workable payment arrangements to bring accounts current.
• Take a firm but relationship-driven approach - building trust with borrowers to encourage consistent, on-time resolution of past-due balances.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of collector experience, automotive paper/loan collections preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus!
• Friendly, personable demeanor with a firm but relationship-focused approach - able to build rapport with borrowers while still holding them accountable.
• Strong work ethic and reliability; a team player who fits well within a laid-back, collaborative department culture.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn and follow bank policies, procedures, and systems.
