We are looking for responsible technicians who take pride in their work and do not need to be micromanaged.
Position Summary
The Automotive Technician is responsible for performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on fleet and retail vehicles while maintaining a high level of professionalism when communicating with DSP managers, drivers, and shop leadership.
This role is ideal for a technician who is self-motivated, organized, and dependable, and who understands how their performance directly impacts client operations.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Duties
Diagnose and repair gas and diesel vehicles
Perform maintenance and repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, cooling, electrical, and drivetrain
Conduct inspections and identify safety or mechanical concerns
Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining quality standards
Perform final checks to ensure vehicles are safe and road-ready
Professional Conduct & Communication
Communicate clearly and respectfully with DSP managers, drivers, and shop staff
Provide accurate repair information and updates when needed
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
Represent the shop positively when interacting with fleet partners
Work Habits & Accountability
Work independently and manage time effectively
Follow shop procedures without constant supervision
Take responsibility for workmanship and comebacks
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
Follow safety standards and shop policies
Qualifications
3+ years of automotive repair experience (fleet experience preferred)
Strong diagnostic skills and mechanical knowledge
Ability to work independently without micromanagement
Professional communication skills (verbal and written)
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Valid driver's license
ASE certifications are a plus, not required
