We are seeking a reliable, experienced Auto Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair suspension related work. The ideal candidate possesses strong problem-solving skills, proficiency with modern diagnostic tools and commitment to quality workmanship and shop safety
Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Perform mechanical and computerized system diagnostics to identify vehicle issues, fault codes, and performance glitches using specialized diagnostic software and scanners.
Maintenance & Service: Execute routine maintenance tasks including filter changes, battery testing, and tune-ups according to manufacturer specifications.
Repairs & Replacements: Repair or replace defective components including brake systems, steering/suspension, and HVAC systems.
Vehicle Inspection: Conduct multi-point safety inspections on incoming vehicles to identify potential hazards, wear-and-tear items, and preventative service needs.
Customer Communication & Reporting: Provide accurate estimates of repair time and material costs to service advisors. Explain technical issues clearly and document all performed work accurately on repair orders.
Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station. Adhere strictly to OSHA standards, shop safety rules, and environmental regulations regarding fluid disposal.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent; completion of a vocational/technical training program in automotive technology preferred.
Experience: 2+ years of professional hands-on automotive repair experience in a dealership or independent shop setting.
Driver's License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required to test-drive vehicles).
Tools: Possession of a standard personal mechanic tool set (shop provides heavy equipment and specialized diagnostic machinery).
Preferred Certifications & Skills
ASE Certifications: Current ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications (e.g., A1-A8) are highly preferred.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with modern engine management systems, hybrid/EV systems, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
Soft Skills: Strong time-management skills, attention to detail, and team-oriented mindset.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50–70 lbs independently.
Ability to bend, kneel, balance, reach, and work overhead or in cramped spaces for extended periods.
Exposure to loud noise, automotive chemicals, fumes, and varying shop temperature
