Description

The Warehouse Maintenance associate helps keep the warehouse in a clean and orderly condition. He or she is tasked with ensuring that all areas of the warehouse property are organized, clean, and sanitary.

Today, Replacement Parts, Inc. and Crow Burlingame is made up of a corporate staff and several different companies, including Parts Warehouse Inc. (PWI). We employ more than 1,400 employees, in twelve (12) states, working at approximately 220 locations, all operating in the aftermarket automotive parts, paint and heavy-duty parts business. Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Follows all safety procedures and guidelines
  • Cleans up accidents and spills
  • Performs general maintenance tasks including assembly, repair, and moving of general warehouse and office equipment
  • Maintains building, performing minor and routine painting and other related maintenance activities.
  • Helps maintain the totes
  • Notifies management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
  • Cares for lawn and parking lot, including mowing, cleanup, and application of deicer as required
  • Delivers parts to customers as needed
  • All other job duties as assigned

Language Skills

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.  Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

Basic knowledge and ability to use a computer.

The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Employees are required to wear safety appropriate clothing in the warehouse, including close-toed shoes. Employees are not permitted to use earbuds or any other devices which interfere with their ability to hear.
