Job Title: Automotive Service Technician

Colony Tire is currently seeking a full-time Automotive Service Technician to join our team! Our technicians work for competitive pay in a fast-paced environment. Summary:

Employee will be required to perform tire and auto-related service as well as other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the competencies and or ability required. Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

Follow established procedures to inspect tires, wheels and vehicles before and after service.
Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors.
Document work performed accurately and according to company policy.
Raise vehicles using hydraulic jacks and/or automotive lifts.
Unbolt and re-bolt wheels from/to vehicles, using lug wrenches and other hand and power tools.
Mount and dismount tires onto wheels.
Identify and inflate tires correctly for the size and ply.
Place wheels on balancing machines to determine counterweights required to balance wheels. Hammer required counterweights onto rims of wheels.
Replace valve stems and remove puncturing objects.
Rotate tires to different positions on vehicles.
Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as but not limited to oil changes, and lubrications.
Road test cars as directed by management.
Pull vehicles in and out of shop safely.

Mechanical- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Operation Monitoring- watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.

Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment- Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, or passenger vehicles.

Employees frequently work with dirty and greasy parts and in awkward positions. The employee must regularly lift up to 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles while ensuring excellent customer service. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for the automotive industry and a commitment to quality work.

Provide customers with accurate service recommendations based on diagnostics and inspections.
Ensure all work is completed efficiently and meets safety standards and Colony Tire's quality expectations.
Maintain clean and organized workspaces, adhering to Colony Tire's safety and cleanliness protocols.
Communicate effectively with service advisors and other team members regarding repairs, parts needs, and any additional service recommendations.
Follow up on repair orders and maintain detailed service records.

Provide excellent customer service, addressing any questions or concerns in a professional manner.
