Peotter's Auto Spa is a premium paint protection film, ceramic coating, window tint, and detailing studio in Springfield, NJ — part of a family automotive group with more than 30 years in the business and New Jersey's. We protect and restore high-end vehicles for owners across North Jersey.
The pieces are in place: a skilled installer and detail team, premium film and coating brands, an 8,900 sq ft facility, and steady demand. What we need is one leader who owns the whole machine — who fills the calendar, closes the high-value work, runs the floor with discipline, and holds every person to a number.
Your mission: grow the shop, run it well, and build a team that wins.
What you'll own:
- Revenue. Own the sales number. Work with our marketing and lead-gen staff to turn inbound leads, dealer accounts, and walk-ins into booked, deposited jobs. Personally close premium PPF and ceramic packages and coach others to do the same.
- The calendar. Build and run a "perfect week" schedule so every installer, tinter, and detailer is booked to capacity — no idle bays, no overbooked promises.
- Operations & quality. Run the floor day to day: check-in, work orders, job timing, final inspection, and on-time delivery. Keep comebacks under 3%.
- People & accountability. Lead a team of roughly 10–12 technicians and sales staff. Run weekly 1-on-1s, set clear targets, recognize wins, and address underperformance quickly and fairly. Recommend hires and exits to the owner.
- The scoreboard. Manage by KThe opportunity
- PIs — weekly sales, average ticket, close rate, revenue per labor hour, labor cost %, and gross profit by service. Report them to the owner every week, straight from our shop system (OrbisX).
- Cash. Make sure every job is deposited, invoiced, and collected. Keep receivables current and dealer accounts on terms.
- Customer experience. Protect our reputation with high-end clients. Drive 5-star reviews and repeat business.
What you bring (required):
- 5+ years in the auto appearance industry (PPF, ceramic, tint, detailing), a dealership service/sales department, or a comparable high-ticket automotive business.
- 3+ years directly managing a team of 6 or more — scheduling, hiring input, performance reviews.
- A track record of owning a revenue or sales target, with numbers you can point to.
- Working knowledge of PPF, ceramic coatings, and window tint — enough to quote accurately, inspect work, and spot a bad install.
- Experience running a business on shop-management or CRM software (OrbisX, Tekmetric, Shopmonkey, Salesforce, HighLevel, or similar).
- Valid driver's license; available on-site in Springfield, NJ, including some Saturdays.
Nice to have:
- Hands-on install or detailing certification (XPEL, STEK, Llumar, Gtechniq, IDA, or similar).
- Experience with luxury or exotic clientele and dealer or fleet accounts.
- Experience reading a P&L and managing labor cost.
Compensation & benefits:
- Base salary: $70,000.
- Uncapped monthly commission tied to shop revenue — the more the shop grows, the more you earn, with no ceiling.
