We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cabinet CAD Drafter proficient in Cabinet Vision to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing designers' drawings for discrepancies, ensuring final designs comply with contractual specifications, and creating/preparing jobs for production.
Closets by Design is a leading provider of custom cabinetry solutions, known for our innovative designs and exceptional craftsmanship. We are committed to delivering high-quality products that meet the unique needs of our clients.
Using Cabinet Vision, a library-based software, the drafter would be responsible for taking drawings and converting them into 2D and 3D designs. They would also be responsible for creating cut-lists for the production team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize Cabinet Vision software to create detailed and accurate CAD drawings for custom cabinetry projects.
- Review and analyze designers' drawings to identify and rectify any discrepancies or errors.
- Confirm that final designs align with contractual requirements and client expectations.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and production teams to ensure seamless transition from design to production.
- Prepare comprehensive production-ready drawings and documentation for the manufacturing team.
- Conduct quality control checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of all CAD drawings.
- Maintain organized records of all CAD drawings and related documentation.
- Communicate effectively with designers and team members to resolve any design or production issues.
- Stay updated on industry trends, software updates, and best practices in cabinetry design and drafting.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CAD Drafter, preferably in the cabinetry or woodworking industry.
- Proficiency in Cabinet Vision software is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in CAD drafting or a related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of programing
- Nice to have, SQL and JavaScript
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
