    Our Opportunity:

    Chewy is currently recruiting for anAutomated Maintenance Technician IIat our Belton, MO Fulfillment Center!We are delighted toprovidethe opportunity to apply your outstanding experience to support the fast-paced operations of our multifaceted fulfillment center environment. Additionally, you will develop new and valuable skills and experience ingrowingworld of e-commerce fulfillment operations.This position will have a wide variety of facilities, maintenance, and utilities requirements across our large fulfillment center.

    Whatyou'lldo:

    • Maintain, clean, lubricate, calibrate, and troubleshoot all electrical and mechanical aspects of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) on site (including conveyor systems, sortation systems, carton rectors, print and apply, compactors/balers) and motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, encoders, etc.

    • Adjust scanners, cameras, scales, and printer applicators (PANDA) 

    • Reset, repair, or replace adjustable components (belts, chains, cables) and wearing components (guides, bearings, wheels, rollers, pulleys) 

    • Useappropriate jobplans, procedures, and manuals 

    • Assistwith basic electronics/ Programmable Logic Controls troubleshooting 

    • Operate handheld devices or desktop PC to build and close Work Orders withappropriate data(labor hours, downtime, problem/cause/remedy, and parts used) 

    • Develop andmaintainpositive working relationships across all levels of our organization 

    • Followappropriate safetyprocedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) whilemaintainingequipment (Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc.), and ensure a safe work environment byeliminatingpotential equipment safety hazards 

    Whatyou’llneed:

    Physical Demands (perform with or without reasonable accommodation): 

    • Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head 

    • Walking within and around our site with excellent frequency (Up and down several flights of stairs) and stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours 

    • Ability to climb ladders safely and without limitation, and work off platforms and equipment at significant heights 

    • Full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists, eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals), manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation) 

    • Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and or uneven surfaces 

    Qualifications: 

    • PCproficiencyand ability to use handheld devices 

    • Familiar with wiring diagrams, symbols, and electrical measuring 

    • Experience in work order management, preventive/predictive maintenance procedures, Industrial Controls and Electronics, troubleshoot basic Input/Output functions 

    • Basic blueprint and schematic reading and metal fabrication and welding 

    • Basic understanding of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) programs 

    • High school diploma or equivalent required 

    Desired Qualifications: 

    • Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field, and/or 3-5 years hands onpreviousexperience in related field. 

    • Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls 

    • Experience with MHE safety standards
