A Day in the Life

You clock in ready to keep production flowing. First stop: a quick walk-through of your work area to confirm equipment status and cleanliness. You review the manufacturing schedule, bring multiple machines online, and begin monitoring runs for consistent output. Throughout the shift, you operate presses, conveyors, and grinders, watching gauges and product flow while staying alert to anything out of the ordinary.

Quality is constant. You pause frequently to inspect parts, separating what meets standards from pieces that don’t, and you document your findings. If you spot a trend, you let the right person know—fast—so production stays on track. Between batches, you label, package, and prepare items for shipment or further processing, then tidy your station and keep tools organized. You wrap up by completing required production and quality records and making sure the area is clean and safe for the next run.

What You’ll Do

• Run and oversee multiple machines and production runs according to the daily schedule.
• Operate presses, conveyors, and grinders while monitoring performance and output.
• Conduct routine inspections to verify quality; sort acceptable vs. nonconforming product.
• Report equipment issues, quality concerns, or process problems to supervisors or designated personnel.
• Label, package, and stage finished goods for shipment or additional processing.
• Accurately complete all required production and quality documentation.
• Keep equipment, conveyors, workstations, and surrounding areas clean and orderly.
• Handle general housekeeping, including sweeping and waste removal.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with teammates to achieve daily goals, schedules, and deadlines.
• Assist with assembly, inspection, and other manufacturing tasks as needed.
• Perform additional duties as business needs require.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or machine operation is a plus.
• Sharp attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Clear communication and practical problem-solving skills.
• Comfort following written and verbal instructions.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Basic math and computer skills preferred.

Physical Demands

• Standing and walking for long periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and crouching with regular lifting throughout the shift.
• Lift and move materials up to 35 pounds.
• Work around machinery and production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
