Compensation & Schedule
- Pay: $28.50/hr ($23.50/hr base + $5/hr shift premium)
- Current Shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00pm–6:00am
- Future Weekend Shift: Friday–Sunday, 6:00am–6:00pm (moves to this shift once opened; includes $6/hr shift premium)
- Location: Waterloo, IN
A Day in This Role
You arrive for the night shift, run through startup checks, and bring a fully automated line up to speed. Throughout the night you monitor dashboards, make adjustments with precision tools, and keep production flowing. If a sensor trips or a tolerance drifts, you troubleshoot quickly, complete minor fixes, and escalate bigger issues to maintenance to avoid downtime. As the shift closes, you hand off a clean line, clear reports, and clear communication to the incoming team.
What You’ll Handle
- Operate and monitor automated manufacturing lines to achieve safety, quality, and throughput targets
- Follow verbal/written work instructions to produce assigned products
- Perform equipment set-ups and scheduled preventive maintenance
- Use tools and precision measuring devices to adjust, maintain, and repair equipment
- Complete accurate daily production and maintenance documentation
- Dismantle/reassemble heavy plant components using hoists and hand tools
- Execute minor repairs; promptly involve maintenance for issues that could cause delays
- Adhere to plant policies, procedures, and all safety standards
- During shift change, communicate product issues or equipment concerns to relieving operators and shift managers
What You Bring
- 3+ years in a fast-paced manufacturing setting running or supporting production machinery
- Frontline people leadership experience
- Basic computer proficiency; ERP familiarity and Microsoft tools are a plus
- Data-driven mindset; skilled at conveying performance, quality, safety, and process efficiency metrics and inspiring shop-floor teams
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working with autonomy
- Willing to work flexible hours and overtime, including nights/weekends, as needed
- High School Diploma or GED
Nice to Have
- Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Experience manufacturing concrete or concrete products
- Familiarity with concrete equipment such as Masa, Hess, Omag, Columbia, Rekers, or Besser

The employee must frequently transport and move items up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 80 pounds. Must be able to closely inspect materials and products. Employee must be able to identify color blends, variances, non-conforming color blends with up to three different colors on each product. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain stationary or move throughout the workstations; also includes the ability to ascend and descend steps and ladders; and position self in tight spaces.
