    Description

    Overview Automation Account Manager (Outside Sales) is responsible for representing SMC in all business activities associated with new, current, and distributor account development. This position also has the responsibility to create and develop new business and relationships to increase market share and achieve annual growth.Responsibilities Retain and profitably grow sales through proactive management of medium to large size OEM accountsMeet or exceed annual growth expectations on a consistent basisPresent all of SMC's capabilities, services and products to current and prospective target customersServe as the primary contact for assigned customers and be responsible for customer growthRepresent the voice of the customer's needs and goals within the organizationLead all aspects of the sales process, calling upon others to assist in solution developmentOwn and manage customer relationshipsDevelop and execute detailed customer action plans and forecasts as requiredMaintain and cultivate strong relationships with key decision makers within designated strategic target accounts; be recognized and respected by the customer's top managementEffectively utilize SMC tools and resources to ensure organizational consistency and efficiencyComplete market reports as new information becomes availableManage SMC assets and be able to calculate ROI using the RINGI processComplete required training and be competent in all SMC sales philosophies, strategies, and tacticsUse and maintain CRM accurately: sales calls, projects, opportunities, contacts, leads, and success reports to align customer data regionally and globally as necessaryCollaborate with internal teams to develop tailored strategies aligned with client and company goalsMonitor project timelines, deliverables, and milestones to ensure timely and successful deployment of customer initiativesPhysical Demands / Work Environment Customer-facing position; the majority of time spent at customer site. Potential travel with some extended stays away from home. Physically capable of lifting SMC products and displays up to 50 lbs.Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experienceOutside sales experience with SMC or equivalent industrial automation companyExtensive knowledge of industrial automation applicationsDemonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales or performance targetsComprehensive understanding of pneumatic components and their applicationsUnderstanding of competitive product linesHigh level communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and leadership skillsProficient in CRM and computer usage; ability to learn new programs and tools as requiredClean driving record#J-18808-Ljbffr
