Position is Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm with the ability to work additional hours as needed.

Position is remote - Incumbent should reside within the Arvest 4 State Operational Footprint (AR, KS, MO, OK).

The Automation and Data Operations Audit Specialist develops Internal Audit data analytics solutions, creates and maintains internal reports, and designs and creates automation solutions for Internal Audit processes. This role partners with divisional teams for the development and delivery of data analytics that support audits and continuous monitoring and auditing.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain accurate and insightful recurring analytics and automated workflows that meet Internal Audit business process and application requirements.

Analyze and synthesize data using advanced analytical techniques to create accurate datasets, assess usability, and deliver actionable findings for key initiatives.

Improve data management methods; proactively suggest opportunities to avoid problems and anticipate future data needs.

Support report and automation development and maintenance by performing quality control and validation, performing routine updates, and maintaining report and automation inventories.

Resolve issues that arise in day-to-day management of automation-enabled processes and provide timely responses and solutions as warranted.

Provide department support for the audit management software including content, configuration, technical updates, and training for new users.

Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Understand and comply with bank policies, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to job duties. This includes, but is not limited to, completing compliance training, adhering to internal procedures and controls, reporting any known violations of compliance policies, laws, or regulations, and reporting any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

Other duties and special projects may be assigned.

Experience

Required: 3 years of experience working with SQL for complex querying, data manipulation, performance optimization, and data mining.

Required: 3 years experience with Business Intelligence (BI) and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, Qlik Sense to create interactive dashboards and reports.

Strong knowledge in at least one major programming language for data analysis such as Python with libraries like Pandas, NumPy or R.

Knowledge of the theory and practice of bank accounting and operations, auditing principles and practices, and banking laws and regulations.

Demonstrated knowledge of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLM) such as GPT, Gemini, Gemma, PaLM2, Claude, Llama2, and Prompt Engineering.

Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts, both in writing and in-person, and listen effectively to others.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data from a variety of sources for analysis and decision-making, along with a strong background in Structured Query Language (SQL) and foundational programming.

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements and drive innovation in audit practices.

Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Relevant work experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree requirement.

Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.
