Automation and Machinery Reliability Mechanic

A day in this role: You arrive on-site at our Timonium, MD facility, sync with your Maintenance Manager, scan the CMMS for priority work orders, and head straight to the line. One machine needs a pneumatic valve replaced and a sensor recalibrated; another is due for a predictive vibration check. You collaborate with Operations to minimize downtime, confer with Engineering on a root-cause you spotted last night, and close out each task with precise documentation. Throughout the day, you uphold EHS and Quality standards—because reliability, safety, and product integrity go hand-in-hand.

What you’ll do

• Own predictive and preventive maintenance to keep automated and semi-automated equipment at peak performance.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems with urgency and care.
• Set up, calibrate, and test components and mechanical assemblies using appropriate tools and methods.
• Execute work orders and record work accurately in the CMMS.
• Partner closely with Maintenance, Facilities, Operations, and contractors to safely hit production goals.

Schedule and location

This is an on-site role in Timonium, MD reporting to the Maintenance Manager. We’re hiring for two shifts, and candidates may be considered for either based on availability. You must be able to work all scheduled hours, plus any required overtime and holidays.

• C-Shift: Thursday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM (three 12-hour shifts), plus Wednesday, 7:00 AM–1:00 PM
• D-Shift: Thursday PM –Sunday AM, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM (three 12-hour shifts), and every other Wednesday PM - Thursday AM, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.

What you bring

• High School diploma or equivalent, plus 5+ years of related maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; can interpret manuals, technical docs, blueprints, work instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
• Clear communicator and collaborator in a fast-paced team environment.

Physical/environment

• Lift up to 50 lbs. intermittently and stand at machines for entire shift including reaching, bending, squatting and kneeling.

Bonus points

• Background with hazardous waste handling and electrical work.
• Experience with injection molding and melt-blown processes.

Compensation and benefits

• Hourly range: $32 - $36 per hour (the range we believe is possible at the time of posting; may be updated in the future).
