Knowledge | Experience | Skills:
High school diploma or GED. PLC, Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical and Electrical Blueprint reading training and Fanuc Training. Must possess mechanical aptitude. Ability to learn Automation systems, assembly processes, machining, Pneumatics, and hydraulic processes. Enrolled in or completion of maintenance apprenticeship program a plus. Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer experience. Certification in Lock out tag out training. Basic electrical knowledge needed. Welding, machining, and sheet metal fabrication. Crane certified.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Responsible for supporting automation projects for all TM locations globally as required
· Travel requirement may be up to 30% per year including international
· Responsible for machining parts for automation systems.
· Responsible for assembly of new automation systems.
· Responsible for the generation of cost saving opportunities related to automation and the presentation of this to management on a regular basis.
· Coordinates automation activities with outside suppliers.
· Manages time schedules to meet the production schedule needs on new automation machines.
· Responsible for procurement of purchase parts as needed for system builds.
· Vision system programming, set-up and programming.
· Assists in production start-ups as related to automation machines
· Ability to make parts in a lathe and milling machine.
· MIG welding.
