    Description

    Position SummaryThe Process/Controls Engineer provides controls and electrical engineering support to the assigned UAP cell and assists maintenance in supporting the plant through troubleshooting and problem solving methodologies to eliminate downtime and decrease quality defects to the customer. The Process/Control Engineer will also write, create, and modify programs to meet the plant objectives while maintaining warranty and OEM liabilities.ResponsibilitiesContribute to the Engineering Change Management processResponsible for process design and implementationSupport continuous improvementSupport production through problem solving and participation in the QRCI processAssist production with troubleshooting and programmingBehave in accordance with Faurecia's code of ethics and code of managementAutomation/Controls ResponsibilitiesTroubleshooting and programming PLCs – preferably SiemensTroubleshooting and programming vision inspection systemsRobotics – linear and articulatingLean – assembly line balancing, visual factory, KanbanProcess DesignDefine cycle time in line with takt time and standard operationsIntegrate ergonomics principles in line designRelease manufacturing process documentsIssue process flowchartsConduct process FMEASupport updating plant layoutFollow‑up prototype buildsGet support from relevant technology experts or support functionsProcess ImplementationEnsure equipment delivery and installation in the plant for continuous improvementCarry out process activity analysisImplement improvement action plansParticipate in equipment reception processCapitalize on lessons learned and provide best practicesKnowledge & SkillsStrong communication skills – ability to interface with other functions and work with employees at all levels of the organizationStrong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi‑taskStrong analytical and problem‑solving skillsMust be very knowledgeable in Process and Manufacturing methodsEducation & ExperienceAt least 5 years' experience in automotive manufacturing, including one position in Manufacturing EngineeringPreferably a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a technical disciplineTrained in Faurecia Excellence SystemAuto CAD, Electrical and mechanical, multiple controls logic languages, software programming, robot programmingProficient level of EnglishBenefitsDynamic and engaging environment focused on sustainable mobility technologiesCareer development opportunities within a global automotive supplierAccess to extensive online and in‑person training through FORVIA UniversityMulticultural environment that values diversity and inclusionCommitment to achieving CO Net Zero by no later than 2045#J-18808-Ljbffr
