POSITION OVERVIEW

s an Automation Controls Engineer your roles and responsibilities will include:

The utomation Controls Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of automated manufacturing systems within an advanced manufacturing environment.
This role is embedded within the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering team and focuses on delivering cost-effective automation solutions that improve efficiency, throughput, and product quality.
The engineer will work collaboratively with mechanical, robotics, controls, and software engineers and partner closely with manufacturing and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and implement manufacturing automation solutions that improve efficiency, utilization, and throughput
  • Design and support automated systems including robotics, industrial controls, machine tending, material handling, RFID, machine vision, and automated assembly
  • ssist with specification, justification, and purchase of automation capital equipment with a focus on ROI
  • Support and enhance existing automation systems already in production
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve automation-related software and hardware issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external automation integrators
  • Minimize production disruption during implementation of new automation processes
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
  • Travel as required for system research, development, and installation
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a technical discipline
    • Preferred: Automation, Robotics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Software Engineering
  • 5-10 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems within a manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with industrial controls and robotics programming and integration
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, software, and electromechanical systems
  • PLC programming and control system software experience
  • bility to troubleshoot complex automation systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience
  • erospace manufacturing and Lean Manufacturing experience
  • SCADA systems and enterprise system integration
  • CNC machine tool tending and interfaces
  • CAD experience (Siemens NX preferred)
  • Experience with Ignition, Fanuc, and Rockwell Automation platforms

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Compensation: Based on Experience. One of the best in the industry
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a technical discipline
