Job Summary
The Automation Engineer supports automation systems in a GMP-regulated biologics pilot plant. The role focuses on troubleshooting, system integration, maintenance, upgrades, documentation, and ensuring automation systems remain reliable, compliant, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide automation system support and troubleshooting in a GMP environment.
- Lead or support integration of new automation systems and devices.
- Perform system maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Contribute to SDLC documentation, SOPs, and compliance-related records.
- Collaborate with IT, OT, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
- Ensure automation systems meet reliability, safety, and GMP compliance standards.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of industrial automation experience.
- Strong experience with Ignition platforms.
- Hands-on PLC programming experience.
- Good understanding of IT/OT integration.
- Experience in GMP-regulated environments.
- Ability to integrate automation systems and devices.
- Knowledge of SDLC documentation and SOP development.
- Familiarity with PI Historian is preferred.
- Experience with DeltaV or Unicorn systems is preferred.
