Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Automation Controls Technician to support the programming, troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of automated control and electrical systems within a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment. This individual will play a key role in ensuring continuous plant operations through effective diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and system improvements.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Allen-Bradley industrial automation systems, PLC/HMI programming, electrical troubleshooting, and collaborative problem-solving in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities:

-Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC/HMI control systems using platforms such as FactoryTalk View and Studio 5000.

-Diagnose and repair industrial electrical systems ranging from DC analog signals to 480V 3-phase power.

-Support automated equipment uptime through troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

-Collaborate with internal teams, OEMs, and outside vendors to resolve equipment and controls-related issues.

-Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics and diagrams.

-Provide on-call and after-hours support for critical production equipment in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.




Automation Controls Tech Requirements:

-5+ Years of experience with Allen-Bradley PLC Control Systems

-Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics and diagrams.

- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and organizational skills in a fast-paced industrial environment.

-Ability to work independently, support on-call operations, and work extended hours as needed.


Preferences:

-Associate's Degree in a skilled trade.

-Previous Experience in a Saw Mill.

-Multimeter Experience and ability to work with a 480V motor.
