Job Description

As a Manufacturing Automation Engineer, you will support AMREP and its clients by evaluating, implementing, and optimizing automation technologies at manufacturing facilities. The product domain is advanced electronics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automation solutions involving robotics, PLCs, sensors, and machine interfaces
  • Automation system validation, process qualification, and performance testing
  • Review equipment specifications, automation layouts, and control strategies
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for automated process failures or quality issues
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Provide technical reports, risk assessments, and project documentation to clients and internal stakeholders

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field)
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing automation, robotics, or industrial controls
  • Experience with PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMI interfaces, and control systems
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes. Knowledge of electronics manufacturing is highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, process validation, and continuous improvement tools
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills
