Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience working on automation and robotics applications for mass production applications.
  • Machine design expertise.
  • Experience designing, deploying, qualifying, supporting, and project managing automated manufacturing process lines that incorporate machine vision, motion control, and sensors.
  • Ability to reconcile DFM feedback with design goals, anticipate risk, and identify mitigation opportunities.
  • Fluent spoken and written English skills with an ability to articulate complex, technical concepts and issues in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work independently on a variety of demanding, concurrent projects.
  • Prior work experience at our company or in our industry.

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Expertise working on vision-guided assembly, precision dispense, and laser welding applications in a mass production environment.
  • Expertise with major brand six-axis industrial robots and PLCs/IPCs along with associated programming languages.
  • Extensive experience using CAD to review and design mechanical components and create proper engineering part drawings using GD&T practices.
  • Experience working overseas with international supply chains and contract manufacturers.
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Drive automation activities for key manufacturing processes.
  • Work with engineering teams to identify automation needs and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with operations teams and contract manufacturers to evaluate automation implementation risk.
  • Provide onsite technical support at FAT/SAT, stress runs, NPI builds, and production ramp as needed.
  • Drive cutting-edge research and development activities both in-house and with industry partners.
