We are seeking an exceptional Instructor-Expert whose primary focus is delivering high-impact, hands-on training. This role is centered on teaching engineers and tradespeople who maintain the world’s most advanced automation systems. This is a unique "Teacher-Builder" role: you will spend approximately two-third's of your year traveling and instructing technical courses on-site, and one-third of your year designing and perfecting the world-class curriculum that supports that instruction.

This is a 6 month, temp-to-direct position. Starting pay is based on experience but estimated to be 80-90k+, once direct. Job description:
The Work Breakdown
65% Instruction: Facilitating technical courses in Robotics, PLCs, Vision Systems, and Motion Control.
35% Development: Creating manuals, lab exercises, and competency-based evaluations.

Key Responsibilities
-Lead On-Site Training: Serve as the primary instructor for intensive, hands-on training sessions at customer facilities. You must be comfortable "on your feet," managing a classroom, and troubleshooting live industrial hardware in real-time.
-Instructional Path Design: Apply instructional design principles (e.g., Bloom’s Taxonomy) to develop structured learning paths that effectively move students from foundational knowledge to expert-level troubleshooting.
-Develop Accessible Content: Author clear, concise technical manuals and competency-based evaluations. Ensure all documentation translates complex engineering concepts into accessible language (e.g., a 9th-grade reading level) for maximum comprehension by adult learners.
-Create Hands-On Labs: Design and document hands-on lab activities that simulate real-world manufacturing challenges and maximize student proficiency.
-SME Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and automation experts to capture accurate technical details and "tribal knowledge" to integrate into course instruction.

Required:
Expert Technical Instruction: A required background in teaching technical subjects to adults (Andragogy), coupled with proven hands-on expertise in leading training on:
  •  PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
  •  Industrial Robotics (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, Kuka)
  •  Vision Systems, or Motion Control
  •  Field Readiness: Essential willingness and ability to travel 75% of the time to customer sites to deliver instruction in various manufacturing environments.
  •  Curriculum Development Support: Strong ability to document technical procedures clearly and concisely to build effective training materials.
