We are seeking an Automation Lead to design, implement, and maintain scalable automation frameworks that ensure adherence to best practices and drive automation initiatives across UI, API, and database testing. This role will focus on integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines, optimizing test coverage, and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.ResponsibilitiesDesign and maintain robust, scalable automation frameworksConduct code reviews to ensure quality, reusability, and compliance with standardsGuide teams in developing a risk-based automation strategy, and ensure automation suites are consistently updated and maintainedDevelop and execute automated test scripts for UI, API, and database testingMaintain and optimize regression test suites for maximum coverage and efficiencyMonitor defect trends to assess test coverage and identify gapsIntegrate, and support teams in integrating, automated tests into CI/CD pipelinesUtilize version control systems to manage automation scripts and frameworksDefine and enforce automation standards and processes across teamsLeverage AI capabilities to enhance automation strategies when applicableSupport and maintain test lab infrastructureRequirementsUniversity Degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fieldAutomation certification demonstrating advanced skills and expertise in automation practices5-7 years of experience in leading automation efforts, test strategy, and executionProven experience in automation strategy and framework designProven experience in designing and maintaining automation frameworks.Hands‑on expertise with Playwright for UI and API automation.Proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript and C#Strong understanding of CI/CD integration and version control systemsHands‑on analytical and problem‑solving skillsGreat communication and stakeholder management skillsExperience working with team across geographies, including strategic vendor partnersExperience supporting and leading multiple parallel initiativesAt Munich Re US, we see Diversity and Inclusion as a solution to the challenges and opportunities all around us.
