POSITION INFORMATION
Job Summary:
Coordinates flow of external and internal parts for automation products produced at Engel North America.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Physically receive and inspect parts, robots and equipment – ensure received equipment matches PO and meets quality standards
Delivery work packages to assemblers – complete parts package including schematics, missing parts lists, etc. Goal is to setup our assemblers in the best way so that they can work efficiently!
Print labels for electrical equipment – delivery to assemblers
Label received equipment (in coordination with stockroom) and delivery any manuals or technical documentation to the project coordinator
Manage material return process and physically transport unused parts from projects to appropriate areas
Prepare material receiving based on weekly purchasing report
Organize and dispose of pallets as needed
Act as main contact for the shop team for non-conforming parts, assist with documentation for purchasing team. Organize physical returns via shipping team.
Maintain running list of testing inventory
Maintain running list of project inventory (Automation bin items)
Act as main communicator for parts requests from shop floor to engineering/purchasing
Support physical teardowns and packouts of finished equipment
Initiate backfill orders for consumables (with purchasing)
Complete parts/tools shipping requests from the integrators in the field
Investigate/track/locate missing parts (with purchasing and stock room)
Distribute parts from bulk cart to production cells as needed.
Work with Project Team and purchasing to coordinate the timing of deliveries with project schedules
Administrative duties
Create routings for BOMs and confirm deliveries
Release production orders
Add manual demands for additional project material (with assemblers and engineering)
Support monthly physical inventory checks
Organize bulk storage area, perform audits, monitor levels, initiate reorders as needed
Maintain document for bulk monitoring
Support annual audits
Coordinate daily with purchasing and stock room teams
Attend weekly production meeting
Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a supervisor.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Educational/Training Requirement:
High school diploma or equivalent
Associates degree in technical field preferred
Experience:
Minimum 3 years relevant production floor logistics experience is required.
Licenses/Certifications:
Forklift certification a plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient in SAP or other MRP systems, ProjectWork, MS Word and Excel.
Excellent communication skills with all levels of personnel including: engineers, purchasers, management, assembly personnel, stockroom, and vendors.
Ability to take simple measurements for part inspection
Attention to detail is crucial.
Time management skills are a must – with ability to handle multiple priorities

Physical Requirements:
This role requires working of time working in a production environment and utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Lifting of equipment is required up to 50 lbs.
